Planning a custom cake is easier when you know what to expect. These answers cover the basics; Kristen can help with the details of your celebration.
How do I request a cake?+
Send Kristen the event date, number of servings, cake design and any inspiration pictures. She will collect your contact information and other relevant details, then prepare a contract for review.
How far ahead should I order?+
Kristen generally requires at least one week’s notice when openings are available. It is still worth asking about a shorter timeline—if she can fit your order in, she will.
Can Kristen work from an invitation or inspiration photo?+
Yes. Invitations, color palettes and reference images can help communicate the direction. Kristen will create her own interpretation rather than an exact copy of another artist’s work.
Can I choose more than one flavor?+
Yes. For a multi-tier cake, you may choose a different flavor for each tier at no additional charge. Fillings are also currently included at no additional charge.
How much does a custom cake cost?+
Pricing varies with servings, design complexity and fondant work. The pricing page provides a starting guide for buttercream-covered cakes, and Kristen will quote your specific design.
Where do I pick up my cake?+
Pickup is off West Nine Mile Road near the Navy Federal main campus and sports fields. A Davis Highway and Olive Road meetup location is also available for customers coming from Milton or Pace.
Do you deliver?+
Kristen does not deliver to private residences, but she does deliver to venues and restaurants. Delivery cost depends on mileage and season; mention delivery during ordering if you need it.
What areas does Sweet Cakes by Kristen serve?+
Sweet Cakes by Kristen serves customers throughout the Pensacola area, including Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key, Navarre, Navarre Beach, Gulf Breeze, Pace, Milton and Cantonment. Cakes can be picked up near West Nine Mile Road in Pensacola, with an additional meetup option near Davis Highway and Olive Road. Delivery to venues and restaurants may also be available.
Do you make military retirement cakes in Pensacola?+
Yes. Kristen creates personalized cakes for military retirements, promotions and other service milestones. Designs can incorporate military colors, service-inspired details and personal elements to celebrate the occasion.
What payments do you accept?+
Cash, Venmo, PayPal and Square are accepted.
What treats do you offer?+
Kristen currently offers custom cakes and cupcakes, with hopes to add more items in the future.
