Meet the maker

Hi, I’m Kristen.

I’m the baker and cake artist behind Sweet Cakes by Kristen.

My journey into cake decorating began when my sons started asking for birthday cakes that weren’t available at our local grocery stores. I wanted to give them celebrations they would never forget, so I decided to try making the cakes myself.

I fell in love with the creative process of taking an idea and bringing it to life. I began experimenting with different recipes and techniques, watching tutorials, taking classes and improving my decorating skills.

Before long, I was making cakes for friends and their families. Seeing how something I created could make a celebration feel even more special and memorable was incredibly rewarding. I realized that I had found something I truly loved doing.

I officially started Sweet Cakes by Kristen in 2017 and work from my home in Pensacola. Today, I create custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, military retirements and many other meaningful occasions.

Whether you have a detailed vision, a favorite theme, or simply an idea you’d like help bringing to life, I enjoy working with clients to create cakes that feel personal and meaningful to their celebrations.

For me, a cake is more than dessert. It becomes part of the experience and part of the memories people carry with them long after the celebration is over.
